Looks Labs LLC ("Looks," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Looks mobile application. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our app.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and encrypted password. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from those providers. We do not receive or store your Google or Apple password.
Profile and Routine Data: We collect the data you generate through using the app, including: selected categories, task completion history, streak data, experience points, notification preferences, custom tasks, quiz answers, and app settings (such as dark mode preference). This data is synced to our secure cloud servers to enable cross-device access and data persistence.
Subscription Information: Subscription status and transaction history are managed by Apple and RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status (active/inactive/trial) but do not have access to your payment method, credit card number, or Apple ID password.
Looks does not collect, store, process, or transmit: face data or biometric information of any kind, health data from Apple Health or HealthKit, location data, contacts, photos (progress photos are stored locally on your device only), browsing history, or any data from other apps on your device.
We use your information to: provide and maintain the app and your personalized routines, sync your progress data across devices, manage your subscription status, send notification reminders (only if you enable them), and improve the app experience through anonymized, aggregated usage analytics.
Your data is stored on servers operated by Supabase, Inc., which uses industry-standard security practices including: encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit, AES-256 encryption for data at rest, row-level security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own data, and regular security audits. Your password is hashed using bcrypt and is never stored in plaintext.
We use the following third-party services to operate the app. Each has its own privacy policy governing data they process:

Apple (in-app purchases, notifications, Sign in with Apple) — apple.com/privacy
Google (Google Sign-In, if used) — policies.google.com/privacy
Product recommendation links in the app direct to Amazon.com and potentially other third-party retailers. Looks Labs LLC participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and may earn affiliate commissions on purchases. Clicking a product link takes you to a third-party website governed by that website's privacy policy. We do not receive personal information about purchases you make through affiliate links — only anonymized commission reports.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We may disclose your information only if required by law, court order, or government regulation, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Looks Labs LLC, our users, or the public.
We retain your account and routine data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently erased from our servers within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated analytics data (which cannot be linked back to you) may be retained indefinitely.
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, delete your account and all associated data, export your data, and withdraw consent for optional data processing (such as notifications). Looks is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
You can permanently delete your account at any time directly within the app. To delete your account, go to the Profile tab and tap "Delete Account." This action permanently and immediately erases all associated profile data, progress, streaks, settings, and custom tasks from our servers. This action cannot be undone. Active subscriptions must be canceled separately through your Apple ID subscription settings — deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription billing.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect and how it is used, request deletion of your personal information, opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights. If you access Looks from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the app, you consent to this transfer. We comply with applicable data protection regulations including GDPR for users in the European Economic Area.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the app and updatin
